Crispin E1

Crispin E1

Crispin is one of my favourite brunch spots in London. They carefully source their ingredients from the best local spots and this really shows in the final dishes! The space itself is unique: a geometric stand-alone building with large glass windows and minimalist interiors – the perfect weekend brunch spot away from the crowds!

THE FOOD

AVOCADO ON SOURDOUGH WITH POACHED EGGS

This is genuinely the best avocado toast I’ve had in London and I wish I could eat it every morning! The white potato sourdough from the Dusty Knuckle bakery is incredible: the perfect amount of chew and crust! It was so good that I booked myself on the Dusty Knuckle sourdough class in March to learn how to make this incredible bread! I also appreciated the generous portion of avocado and the seasoning of chilli, salt, chives and lime was perfect!

POACHED EGGS, BROWN BUTTER HOLLANDAISE AND SMOKED SALMON

Thick cuts of smoked salmon are far superior to the thin sheets we’re used to buying. There is something about the sashimi-like texture and lightly smoked flavour that just works so well! The brown butter adds so much depth to the flavour of the hollandaise, and this is all brought together with the amazing Dusty Knuckle white potato sourdough – heaven!
