Origin coffee roasters have a wonderful coffee shop located under the railway arches in Southwark. Not only do they serve fantastic coffee, but their all-day weekend brunch menu is filled with innovative dishes that look and taste incredible.
THE FOOD
SMOKED SALMON & SCRAMBLED EGGS
A classic brunch dish done well with a generous portion of smoked salmon
WHIPPED BROAD BEANS AND GOATS CHEESE
A delicious alternative to the classic avocado toast. The broad bean and goats cheese mixture had a mousse-like texture and was paired with tangy sumac, crunchy pistachios and perfectly poached eggs.
THE ATMOSPHERE
I love that there is usually no queue for brunch (you may have to wait a bit for a table, but it won’t be anything like the over-hyped brunch spots that you see all over Instagram!) and that the coffee shop has a wonderful background buzz and smells of freshly ground coffee beans. They always have brunch specials that make the most of seasonal ingredients and the food is well-priced for the high quality ingredients and large portions. This is why I love finding new hidden brunch spots that not everyone knows about – you get better food and service without having to queue!
