Zuma

Zuma is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The open kitchen features a robata grill which gives the food a wonderful charred flavour, and the sauces and dressings make even the simplest vegetables taste delicious!

THE FOOD

SUSHI

All of the sushi at Zuma is really fresh and delicious but my favourites are the spicy yellowtail roll and the prawn tempura roll. The salmon and tuna tartare with caviar is also delicious.

CRAB AND AVOCADO SALAD

This salad is so so good, with a generous amount of crab, chunks of avocado and a more-ish dressing.

SEABASS SASHIMI WITH YUZU AND TRUFFLE OIL

This is one of my favourite dishes purely because of the sauce - I always ask for extra sauce and make sure the sashimi is drowning in it! I then drink the leftover sauce… you get the idea!

SKEWERS

My favourites are the spicy beef skewers and the chicken wings, which have an addictive sticky ‘umami’ marinade.

OTHER DISHES

My sister loves the crispy fried squid. The miso black cod is a classic that everyone loves. If you’re craving some vegetables, the asparagus and tenderstem broccoli are delicious. The steamed spinach with sesame sauce is also really tasty.

DESSERT

Dessert has to be chocolate… either in the form of the milk-chocolate tejina (a chocolate caramel mousse-type dessert in the shape of a buddha’s face with passionfruit sorbet) or the chocolate lava cake.
